About Protavia
Protavia’s main focus is in greenfield projects. However we also have a strong interest in brownfield developments and participating in Venture Capital or Private Equity transactions. Protavia acts on its own behalf as well as the lead developer for syndicates of investors. Investor syndicates currently include superannuation funds and high net worth individuals.
Protavia’s staff have been carefully selected to allow for the array of skills and knowledge necessary for the development of greenfield projects. Backgrounds include commerce, finance, banking, law, construction, engineering (civil and electrical), chemistry, process management and communications. Protavia also outsources some project specific skills via the use of specialised consultants. Protavia also recruits top industry experts to join the company during the development of projects, with the idea that they will stay with the project company after financial close usually in senior operating roles. This ensures that we have the necessary skills to undertake projects in a variety of industries.
Protavia is currently responsible for the development of the Penola Pulp Mill in the Green Triangle region of Australia and well as a number of fledgling projects not yet in the public domain.
